Privacy Policy

ReviewBoost ("we", "us") is a digital product by The Brand Maniacs. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled — for both business owners who sign up for ReviewBoost, and customers who scan a business's QR code.
Who this applies to
Two kinds of people interact with ReviewBoost:
- Business owners who create an account to get a QR code, view analytics, and manage their review-collection setup.
- End customers of those businesses, who scan a QR code to leave a review or private feedback. End customers do not create an account.
What we collect

What we don't do
- We never post a review on anyone's behalf. Every review a customer posts is something they chose and edited themselves.
- We don't sell personal data to third parties.
- We don't require end customers to create an account, install an app, or give us more information than the flow above.
Third-party services we use
These services process data on our behalf, only for the purposes described above:
- Supabase — our database host, where all account and business data is stored.
- Google Gemini API — generates review-line suggestions and reply drafts from business details (name, category, services). No end-customer personal data is sent here except a voice transcript when the customer chooses to use voice input.
- Razorpay — processes subscription payments. We never see or store full card details.
- Google Fonts — loads typefaces used on this site; your browser makes a request to Google's font servers to do so.
- Vercel — hosts this application.
- Google Business Profile API (where a business owner has explicitly connected their profile) — used only to read reviews for that business and, with the owner's review before posting, help draft replies. Access is limited to the specific business locations an owner has authorized, and can be revoked by the owner at any time.
- Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, and Meta (Facebook) Pixel — used on our own marketing pages (this site's homepage and signup) to measure whether an ad led to a signup, and to build advertising audiences on Google and Meta. These set cookies and similar identifiers in your browser. This does not run on the QR/review pages your own customers scan — see "Cookies & advertising" below.
Cookies & advertising
Our own marketing site (thebrandmaniacs.online-linked pages, this site's homepage, and the signup flow) uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Ads and Meta Pixel tracking, which set cookies to measure ad performance and, if you don't opt out, may show you ReviewBoost ads on other sites later. You can opt out via your browser's cookie settings, Google Ads Settings, or Meta's Ad Preferences. This tracking does not appear on the public QR review pages your customers use — those are a separate flow with no advertising cookies.
Data retention
We keep account and business data for as long as the account is active. A business owner can request deletion of their account and associated data at any time by contacting us. End-customer feedback and scan records are retained as part of that business's analytics history and are deleted if the business account is deleted.
Your choices
- Business owners can edit or delete their business profile from the dashboard at any time.
- End customers are never required to submit anything — every step in the review flow is optional and editable before it's sent anywhere.
- If a Google Business Profile connection is ever added to your account, you can disconnect it at any time from your dashboard, which revokes ReviewBoost's access to that profile immediately.
